Natural Cures for Anxiety
About Me
Natural Cures for Anxiety

I married my loving husband in a beautiful church ceremony ten years ago. After our wedding, I moved into my spouse’s home. Unfortunately, the move required me to live 75 miles away from my family. Because I missed my parents, my grandmother, and my sister so much, I started experiencing anxiety. I didn’t wish to take medication for this condition. So, I researched natural anxiety cures. I was surprised to learn that eating some foods can help people battling this troubling disorder. Thankfully, by eating these foods, exercising, and thinking positively, I was able to overcome my bout with anxiety. On this blog, you will discover the best natural cures for anxiety.

5 Uses For Lavender Essential Oil

Sergio Reyes

Of all the essential oils you can buy, lavender essential oil may be one of the most versatile. Keep a bottle in your medicine cabinet; you can pull it out and use it for any of these purposes.

1. Anxiety Relief

Lavender can help you relax when you're feeling anxious and worried. Put a few drops on your wrists, rub them together, and then take a deep breathe, inhaling the scent. Although you should not use lavender oil in place of any prescription medication your doctor has recommended for anxiety, it can be a good supplemental treatment.

2. Sleep Assistance

Many people who don't have actual insomnia still struggle to fall asleep every once in a while. You may not want to take sleeping pills on these nights for fear that you'll become addicted. Lavender oil is a good, all-natural substitute. Diffuse it into your room as you relax in bed, or put a few drops on a rag that you keep near your pillow.

3. Calming Sore Skin

You should never put lavender oil in or on an open wound, but it is a good choice if your skin is just mildly irritated and sensitive. Dilute two or three drops of lavender oil with an equal portion of olive oil. Smooth it over your irritated skin. For an even more soothing quality, hold the treated skin in front of a fan for a few minutes. The air drifting over it as the lavender oil works its magic will feel lovely.

4. Headaches

Whether your headaches are caused by tension, stress, or sinus pressure, lavender oil can help relax them away. Combine a few drops of lavender oil with a few drops of olive oil and line your forehead with the mixture. Place a little more on the base of your neck. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and feel the pain melt away.

5. Nausea

Lavender can also be helpful in alleviating minor nausea, such as that caused by motion sickness. You can either place a few drops on a rag and inhale the scent or diffuse it into the room. Some women also find that the scent of lavender alleviates their morning sickness during pregnancy.

If you keep lavender oil on hand, you can easily reach for it whenever you need to alleviate the symptoms above. Look for certified organic French lavender essential oils for best results.
